Amy’s studio is located in northern Colorado on the old
family ranch.
She lives there with her husband and an ever-changing parade of
birds and animals.
She began her career after attending CSU and marrying Lars Larson
whom she taught to paint. Together they moved to the ranch and
began painting animals. They were exhibited in Hart Galleries
in Wyoming. Lars began building their house on the ranch.
Amy soon joined Carson Gallery of Western American Art in Denver
and then was invited to join Mill Pond Press. She has since been
in shows and galleries across the US and Canada- Richard James
Gallery Charleston, SC – Altermann & Morris, NM-Burdette
Gallery, Orton, Ontario- Southeastern Wildlife Expo, Charleston,
SC. Danbury Mint & Bradford Exchange commissioned her work.
For the last several years she has exhibited in her home gallery
where she draws an international clientele.
She has instructed workshops and has taught drawing and painting
classes when she has the time.
In her studio gallery, you will find her paintings of animals-
wild and domestic, landscapes, florals and portraits . Miniatures
to murals and mixed media sculpture - almost every media and combination
are explored and displayed. Never working on one piece at a time,
the studio is filled with artwork in various stages of completion.
